<p><strong>120&#8242;x30&#8242;x7&#8242;</strong></p>
<p><strong>General Description</strong></p>
<p>Deck barge to measure 120&#8242; in length overall from bow to stern.  The width of the barge is to be 30&#8242; overall.  Each end of the barge to have a 20&#8242; raked bottom.  Head log and stern log to be 18&#8243; wide.  Main body center section to be 80&#8242; long by 30&#8242; wide.  Main body separated into four main body tanks by the use of interior bulkheads.  Each main body section and each rake to have access through a total of six 18&#8243; diameter, flush mount, water tight steel access hatches located in deck at outer edges.</p>
<p><strong>Steel</strong></p>
<p>Deck, sides, and bottom to be constructed of 3/8&#8243; steel plate.  Head log and stern log to be constructed of 1/2&#8243; steel plate.  Three transverse bulkheads (one located 20&#8242; from each end and one located midship) and one longitudinal centerline bulkhead all constructed of 1/4&#8243; steel plate.  Four corners of barge to be 18&#8243; radius 1/2&#8243; steel plate.  Rub bars to run longitudinally along each side 18&#8243; below deck line.  Rub bars constructed of 8&#8243; schedule 80 half pipe.  All steel used in barge construction to be A-36 classification.</p>
<p><strong>Framing</strong></p>
<p>Deck to be longitudinally framed with 5&#8243;x3&#8243;x5/16&#8243; angle set on 22 1/2&#8243; centers.  Sides to be longitudinally framed with 4&#8243;x3&#8243;x5/16&#8243; angle set on 21&#8243; centers.  Bottom  to be longitudinally framed with 4&#8243;x3&#8243;x5/16&#8243; angle set on 22 1/2&#8243; centers.  Bow and stern rake to each have five truss frames cross framed with 4&#8243;x4&#8243;x5/16&#8243; and 3&#8243;x3&#8243;x1/4&#8243; angle.  Head log and stern log to be reinforced with 10&#8243; x 15.3 pounds per foot channel, each piece of channel to be located at the end of each frame and truss in the rakes.  Located 10&#8242; from head log and stern log will be a transverse buck frame constructed of 8&#8243; x 11.5 pounds per foot channel.  The three transverse bulkheads are framed with 4&#8243;x3&#8243;x1/4&#8243; angle on 22 1/2&#8242; centers.  Center line longitudinal bulkhead to be framed with 4&#8243;x3&#8243;x1/4&#8243; angle set on 26 1/2&#8243; centers.  Twenty buck frames, five located in each main body tank, are constructed of 8&#8243; x 11.5 pounds per foot channel cross framed with 4&#8243;x4&#8243;x5/16&#8243; and 3&#8243;x3&#8242;x1/4&#8243; angles.  Buck frames to be set on 6&#8242; 8&#8243; centers.  All deck, sides, and bottom longitudinal angles tied to adjacent bulkhead with 12&#8243;x12&#8243;x5/16&#8243; steel plate brackets.  Deck chine and bottom chine to be 3&#8243;x3&#8243;x1/2&#8243; angle.</p>
<p><strong>Welding</strong></p>
<p>Deck, sides, and bottom to be welded continuous inside and out.  Bulkheads to be welded 100% on one side and 3&#8243; on 12&#8243; on opposite side.  All internal framing to be welded 3&#8243; on 12&#8243;, 3&#8243; of welding in every 12&#8243; of length.  All to meet or exceed industry standards.</p>
<p><strong>Hardware</strong></p>
<p>Deck to have four double bitts, one located in each deck corner, constructed of 8&#8243; schedule 80 pipe.  Each corner bitt to have 1/2&#8243; steel plate doublers welded to deck.  Four 36&#8243; kevels located 20&#8242; off mid ship center line, two on port and two on starboard.</p>
<p><strong>Coatings</strong></p>
<p>Exterior of the entire barge is sand blasted and then sprayed with Sherwin Williams Sea Guard 5000.  The interior of the barge is sprayed with Royal Void Kote.</p>
<p><strong>Miscellaneous</strong></p>
<p>Draft marks and name to be placed on each barge.  Ten 24 pound weld type zinc anode pads for each barge.  Three anode pads on each side, and two under each raked end.</p>
